Activities:  Ch. 13 Test- Payroll and Tax Liabilities

Tuesday-

Topics:  Test results; objectives for next chapter (The accounting cycle for a merchandising corporation)

Activities:  Students will receive back their graded Ch. 13 tests. We will go over any questions and/or problems on test that need to be gone over for clarification.  Students will then use their notes and/or book to correct the questions that they missed (on a sheet of notebook paper or provided journal paper).

Wednesday-

Topics:  Become familiar with new chapter vocabulary

Activities:  Students to define the vocabulary for Ch. 14 on pp. 354, 358, & 367 in their book.  May type in Google docs or write on a sheet of notebook paper.  If complete on computer, will need to print out.

Thursday-

Topics:  Accounting for Sales and Cash Receipts

Activities:  Students to take notes over new material, participate in any practice problems, then complete the Ch. 14 Section 1 Check your understanding on p. 357 in book and corresponding page(s) in workbook.  Do the 2 Thinking Critically questions on notebook paper, skip Communicating Accounting section, do Problem 14-1 on workbook page.  If don’t finish in class, for homework.  Due by the first of class Friday.

Friday-

Topics:  Analyzing Sales Transactions

Activities:  Students to take notes over new material, participate in any practice problems, then complete the Ch. 14 Section 2 Check your understanding on p. 366 in book and corresponding page(s) in workbook.  Do the 3 Thinking Critically questions on notebook paper, skip Analyzing Accounting section, do Problem 14-2 on workbook page.  If don’t finish in class, for homework.  Due by the first of class Monday.
