Topics:  Notebook arrangement; review of accounting I material

Activities:  Set up notebook for class.  Discuss any problems or questions over Accounting I review packet from last week (Ch. 1-9).  Students to then begin the review over Account Ch. 10-11. 

Wednesday-

Topics:  Review of Accounting I material

Activities:  Students to continue working on review packet for Ch. 10-11.  If don’t finish in class, for homework.  Due by the first of class tomorrow (Thursday). 

Thursday-Friday

Topics:  Review of accounting for a sole proprietorship

Activities:  Students to begin Mini-practice set 2 using book and pp. 249-251, 255-264 in workbook.

Monday-

About Accounting II; Getting to know you activities

Tuesday-

Discuss class procedures, acceptable use policies, statewide articulation and ATC credit, school supplies

Homework:  Get classroom procedures signed by parent and parent subscribed to Accounting II blog by Friday, August 30 (Daily grade). Also, need to try and have school supplies by Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Wednesday-

Test userids/passwords; begin review of Accounting I material packet

Thursday-

Learn the basics of blogs and e-portfolios from Mr. Scott Floyd

Friday-

Homework due:  Classroom procedures signed by parent and parent subscribed to Accounting II blog  (Daily grade).

Welcome to Accounting II

Welcome back my precious Accounting I students!!  Looking forward to another great year with each and every one of you!

In Accounting II, we will continue learning how to keep the financial records for  a business including preparing financial statements for a corporation, payroll accounting, accounting for special procedures, and accounting for other forms of business. We will also continue to hone our UIL skills for competition so we can own it in the spring! 🙂

Prerequisite:  Accounting I

Supplies needed:
3-ring binder

pencils
red pen

notebook paper
headphones or earbuds
workbook (will be supplied)

Objective-  Determining the quantity of inventories

Assessment-  Section 1 Check your understanding on p. 683 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Wednesday-

Objective- Determining the cost of inventories

Assessment-  Section 2 Check your understanding on p. 688 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Thursday-

Objective-  Analyzing the inventory costing methods

Assessment-  Section 3 Check your understanding on p. 692 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Friday-  Ms. Davis will be giving the EOC/Starr testing for Biology.  Class will report to Plato lab.

Monday-

Objective- Review of Ch. 24 concepts (Uncollectible Accounts Receivable)

Assessment- Ch. 24 worksheets due for a daily grade.  Go over any questions, problems as needed.

Tuesday-

*Ms. Davis will be giving the World History STAAR test today, so time will be given to study over worksheets.  Test over Ch. 24 will be tomorrow*

Wednesday-

Objective-  Test knowledge of CH. 24 material (Accounting for Uncollectible accounts Receivable)

Assessment-  Ch. 24 Test

Thursday-

Objective-  Test results;  discuss objectives for Ch. 25.

Assessment-  Define the vocabulary for Ch. 25.

Friday-

Objective/assessment-  Students will be given time to makeup any missing daily work or tests.
