Objective/Assessment-  Read pp. 624-629 and attempt the Section 1 Check your Understanding on p. 629 in book and corresponding pages in workbook (while I am working with Accounting I)

Tuesday-

Objective/Assessment-  Read pp. 630-632 and attempt the Section 2 Check your Understanding on p. 632 in book and corresponding pages in workbook (while I am working with Accounting I)

Wednesday

Objective-  Plant Assets and Equipment

Assessment-  Student to take notes, participate in discussion and practice problems, then complete the Section 1 Check your Understanding on p. 629 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Thursday-

Objective-  Calculating Depreciation

Assessment-  Student to take notes, participate in discussion and practice problems, then complete the Section 2 Check your Understanding on p. 632 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Friday-

Objective-  Accounting for Depreciation Expense at the End of a Year

Assessment-  Student to take notes, participate in discussion and practice problems, then complete the Section 3 Check your Understanding on p. 641 in book and corresponding pages in workbook.

Lesson Plans- April 1-5, 2013

Monday-

Objective-  Discuss objectives for Ch. 23:  Plant Assets and Depreciation.   Students to discover meanings of vocabulary needed for Ch. 23.

Assessment-  Students to  define the vocabulary for Ch. 23 using their books and computer.

Tuesday-

Objective-  Read over pp. 624-629 over Plant assets and equipment while I work with Accoutning I students. 

Assessment-  Students to attempt to complete the Ch. 23 Section 1 Check your understanding on p. 629 in book.

Wednesday-

Objective-  Students to work with Accounting I students to further knowledge of specific taxes.

Assessment-  Students will work as a group to answer certain questions about taxes:  who is required to pay, required forms, etc.  and turn in for a daily grade.

Thursday-

Objective-  Students to work with Accountning I students to further thinking of taxes and their purpose.

Assessment-  Students to consider a world without taxes.  They are to then write an essay thatshows how tax-based services such as education, law enforcement, and mail service would be paid for.  They should reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of such a system for individuals and for society.

Friday-

Objective-  Read pp. 630-632 over calculating Depreciation

Assessment-  Students to attempt to complete the Ch. 23 Section 2 Check your understanding on p. 632 in book.

Assessment-  Discuss problems off of UIL test from White Oak meet

Tuesday-

Objective-  UIL topics

Assessment-  Will continue to go over UIL test from White Oak practice meet

Wednesday-

Objective-  Practice UIL test (district)

Assessment-  Student will use class time to take a practice UIL test.

Thursday-

Objective-  UIL practice test results; topics

Assessment-  Students to grade their practice UIL test from yesterday; we will then begin discussion of problems on test

Friday-

Objective- UIL topics

Assessment-  Continue to go over UIL district practice test

Objective:  Discuss any questions with concepts from Ch. 22.

Assessment:  Students to finish or make corrections to either section 1 or 2 Check your understandings from Tues. and Wed.
