Activities:  Students to complete worksheets over material reviewed using their books.

Wednesday-Friday

Topics: Preparing closing entries, cash control and banking activities

Activities:  Discuss graded Ch. 10 and 11 review.  Students will then begin Mini-practice set 2 (Fast Track Tutoring Service) using pp. 282-283 in textbook and corresponding pages in workbook. Completed packet will count as 2 daily grades and 1 test grade.

Monday:

Objective:  Review recording transactions in a general journal, posting to general ledger,and preparing a trial balance

Activities:  Students to finish Mini-practice set 1.  If don’t finish in class, for homework.  Due by first of class Tuesday. Will count as 2 daily grades.

Wednesday-

Topics:  Review 6-column worksheet and financial statements

Activities:  Students to complete the worksheets as a review of Ch. 8 and 9 material using their books.

Thursday-

Activities:  Students to complete problem review for Ch. 8 and 9.

Friday-

Topics: Review of Ch. 10 and 11 material

Activities:  Students to complete worksheets using their books.

About Accounting II; Getting to know you activities

Tuesday-

Discuss class procedures, acceptable use policies, school supplies, etc.

Activities:  Students to subscribe to class blog; test Google drive user ids and passwords to see if can access

Homework:  Get classroom procedures signed by parent and parent subscribed to Accounting II blog by Friday, August 26 (Daily grade).  Also, need to try and have school supplies by Tuesday, August 30.

Wednesday-

Test user ids/passwords; begin review of Accounting I material packet (approx. Ch. 1-7) (Daily grade)

Thursday-Friday

Students will complete Mini-practice set 1 on pp. 178-179 in textbook and corresponding pages in workbook.  Will count as two daily grades.

Monday-

Topics:  Financial statements for a corporation

Activities:  Ch. 19 Test review game (Kahoot).  Top 2 scorers will receive 5 bonus points on their test.

Tuesday-

Activities:  Ch. 19 Test

Activities:  Discuss test results and any questions over problems/corrections

Topics:  UIL topics review

Activities:  Students will take a UIL Regional accounting test

Friday-

Topics:  UIL topics review

Activities:  Students will spend the first 15 minutes of class finishing their UIL practice test; then will use key to check their answers.

Topics:  Review of completing the financial statements for a corporation

Activities:  Students to complete Ch. 19 worksheets as assigned. Will be worth 2 daily grades.  Due Thursday at the first of class.

Activities:  Ch. 19 worksheets due.  Exchange and grade. Discuss any questions/problems as needed.

Activities:  Students to take notes and participate in practice problems; students will then complete the Ch. 19 Section 3 Check your understanding on p. 536 in book and corresponding page(s) in workbook.  Answer the 2 Thinking Critically questions; Skip Computing in the Business World; do problem 19-4.  Due Friday by first of class.

Topics:  Reinforcement of chapter material

Activities: Students to begin the worksheets for Ch. 19.  Completed worksheets will be due next Wednesday and will count as 2 daily grades.
